About Us
Helping Oʻahu contractors tighten the workflow between the field and the office
Value Engine LLC helps local contractors, field-service operators, and property teams reduce the drag between what happens in the field and what makes it back to the office.
We focus on the part that usually gets messy: field notes, photos, follow-up, status visibility, closeout, and the paperwork needed to keep work moving and invoices going out.
Our work is built for Hawaiʻi operators who do not need a drawn-out software overhaul. They need a clearer process, better visibility, and a practical next step that fits the way their teams actually work.

Our Story
We started Value Engine with a simple belief: in Hawaiʻi, better systems have to work in the real world. They have to fit local teams, local relationships, and the day-to-day pressure of getting work done.
Summer brings deep experience helping local families and business owners make financial decisions under uncertainty before moving into university teaching in finance. She brings disciplined judgment, clear analysis, and a strong sense of what actually holds up in practice.
Sheldon brings experience in construction, operations, strategy, and research in Hawaiʻi. His work focuses on where information gets lost between the field and the office, and how better process design can improve visibility, closeout, and decision quality.
We listen first, talk story with your team, and look for the first break in the workflow. Then we help you tighten the process with tools, standards, and routines your people can actually use.
Meet The Team
What We Do
-
Find the first break in the workflow: We look at how work moves from intake to dispatch to field capture to office follow-up and closeout.
-
Make field information easier to use: Photos alone are not a record. We help teams tighten the notes, ownership, and supporting detail needed to keep work moving.
-
Reduce office reconstruction: When information comes back thin, the office loses time chasing status, follow-up, and invoice backup. We help make the process clearer.
-
Improve closeout and invoice readiness: The goal is not more software for its own sake. The goal is cleaner closeout, clearer status, and less delay between finished work and billing.
How We Work
Listen first. Map the workflow. Identify the first break. Tighten one useful standard. Build from there.
We prefer bounded, practical work over big promises. That might mean a workflow review, a fixed-scope sprint, or a focused process improvement tied to field reporting, closeout, or billing readiness. Your docs support that kind of concrete, low-hype offer, especially for Oʻahu trade operators.
Let’s talk story.
If your office is still chasing notes, photos, status, or invoice backup days after the work happened, start with a quick workflow review.
